How to enter a Ringtone into your Alcatel Cell Phone...

We have tried to make entry of the ring tones into your Alcatel mobile phone as simple as possible.  These instructions have been written for the Alcatel 303 phone,  however most models are similar,  especially the Alcatel 300, 301 and 302 models.   The ringtone converter also supports other models of Alcatel handset,  including the One Touch 311 and 511.

To enter the tones into your handset.

1.  First,  locate your ring tone composer

Press the 'Ok' joystick button and select 'Menu', scroll down and select 'Audio', then select 'Ring tone'

Select 'Melodies', then scroll through the ring tones until you reach 'My Melody 1' or 'My Melody 2'. Select either melody, then select 'Modify Melody'. You will now be presented with five lines on the screen of your phone, these represent a music score. If there are any musical notes shown on your screen, use the 'c' button to clear them ready for your new ring tone.

2.  Enter the key press sequence

Once you have located the composer on your phone,  you need to enter the key press sequence given to you by the ring tone converter software.  Look for the text similar to that in the image below, highlighted in yellow.

Now (in the phones melody composer),  simply type these numbers into your keypad,  the display will show musical notes appearing while you press the keys -  as long as you press the keys in the sequence shown by the software the ring tone will sound correct!

3. Save the tone

When you have finished press the 'Ok' joystick button again, and select 'tempo'. Change the tempo to 'Andante', then press the 'Ok' joystick and select 'Listen all' to play the tone. If you want to change the speed tone plays at select 'tempo' again and try one of the other tempo settings.

Finally, if you like your new ring tone, select 'Save to store the tone on your phone for use.
If the tone doesn't sound right,  you have probably missed a key so you may wish to try entering the key sequence again.

That's it - it could not be simpler,  or cheaper to add a new ring tone to your Alcatel  phone (as often as you like!)
