How to enter a Ringtone into your Ericsson T66 Mobile...

Cards on the table,  when we first got hold of a T66 from Ericsson we thought it was just a little too small,  things had gone too far,  BUT once we had used the phone we changed our mind,  its just great.

We were totally won over by the ringtone composer built into the phone,  it is simply the best we have worked with to date,  supporting RTTTL fully,  and beyond with support for five octaves,  all note durations and full support for dotted notes,  a feature often lacking on other handsets.

Of course,  none of this matters to you,  all you want is a good ring tone,  and that's where the Ringtone Converter comes in,  taking all the skill and musical knowledge you may need out of the equation,  if you can press keys in a certain order on your phone,  you can add a ring tone to it!

To enter the tones on the T66:

(assuming you have installed a copy of our software in your system first! - click here if you haven't...).

Or,  as Ericsson prefer to call it,  the Melody composer.  Here is how to find it:

1. Enter the menus,  and select the settings menu [4]
2. Press [1] for the Sounds & alerts menu
3. Press[8] for My melodies.
4. Choose a position for this ringtone.
5. Choose option [1] to edit the ringtone

2.  Enter the key press sequence

If there were already some notes in the editor,  you need to clear these first,  just keep pressing the [c] key on your phone until they are all gone.

3. Save the tone and set its tempo.

Finally, press 'yes' to playback and store the tone,  then select option [4] to set the beat or tempo of the tone,  in this case to 125 to make the ringtone play at the right speed.

That's it - it could not be simpler,  or cheaper to add a new ring tone to your Ericsson T66 phone (as often as you like!)
