If any phone does need a better set of ring tones,  then it is the T68 - a fantastic phone let down by a poor selection of standard melodies.  Fortunately you are able to customize eight of the standard ring tones to whatever you want using the Ringtone Converter and your handset - no cables are required!

We have tried to make entry of the ring tones into your Ericsson mobile phone as simple as possible.  These instructions have been written for the Ericsson T68 phone,  Click on the 'Download' link above,  and scroll down to the base of the page for other phones (e.g. Other makes).

To enter the tones on the T68.

1.  First,  locate your ring tone composer

To enter this code into your Ericsson T68 phone,  press the center joystick button to access the menu, then press the '4' button twice to enter the 'My Melodies' section. Choose a position for your new ringtone from the eight available slots, then select the edit option. Finally, press and hold the 'c' key to clear the previous ringtone.

2.  Enter the key press sequence

Once you have located the composer on your phone,  you need to enter the key press sequence given to you by the ring tone converter software. 

Now (in the phones melody composer),  simply type these numbers into your keypad.

Where you see (hold until 'x') simply hold down the previous key until the 'x' appears on your phones display,  in the above example press the 1 key and hold it until your phone displays c.,  then do the same again,  and so on.

The tone should go into your phone and play for you.

3. Save the tone

Finally, press the center joystick option to playback and store the tone.

If the tone doesn't sound right,  you have probably missed a key so you may wish to try entering the key sequence again.

That's it - it could not be simpler,  or cheaper to add a new ring tone to your Ericsson T68 phone (as often as you like!)
