Sony Ericsson T68i ringtonesHow to enter a Ringtone into your Sony Ericsson T68i Mobile...

The new phone from the new company Sony Ericsson can only be described as fantastic,  taking the best features from the Ericsson T68,  and adding the design flair,  and build quality from Sony.

As a new handset,  the T68i does not share the same composer as the older T68,  so if you have the older T68, click here for instructions on how to add ringtones to that handset (both are fully supported).

The new handset supports the addition of ringtones by a number of methods,  including key press entry,  infra red transmission and sms.   At the moment the Ringtone Converter supports both the key press entry format,  and the infra red / iMelody format for the T68i.

Keypress Entry Method

We have tried to make entry of the ring tones into your T68i cell phone as simple as possible.

1.  First,  locate your ring tone composer

To enter this code into your phone,  press the center joystick button to access the menu, then press the '4' button to enter 'Fun and Games',  then the '5' button to open the 'Composer'

2.  Enter the key press sequence

Once you have located the composer on your phone,  you need to enter the key press sequence given to you by the ring tone converter software.

Now (in the phones composer),  simply type these numbers into your keypad.

In the above example,  you would press the 3 key,  then the 8 key,  then the 6 key and so on.  What appears on your display is not important.

3. Save the tone

Finally, press the 'Yes' button to playback and store the tone.

If the tone doesn't sound right,  you have probably missed a key so you may wish to try entering the key sequence again.

INFRA-RED Entry Method

If you are fortunate enough to have a computer,  or handheld device with infra-red transmission capability,  you can simply beam ringtones to your T68i!

All you need to do is select a ringtone in the software,  or paste in your own RTTTL file,  and then select the 'Save As' option in the file menu.  Save the ringtone as an iMelody .imy file,  then simply beam this file to your phone.

Your phone will automatically recognize the file as a ringtone,  and add it to your play list - simple,  easy,  and best of all free!

That's it - it could not be simpler,  or cheaper to add a new ring tone to your Ericsson T68i phone (as often as you like!)
