Motorola V50 ringtonesHow to enter a Ringtone into your Motorola v50 Mobile Phone...

We have tried to make entry of the ringtones into your Motorola v50 phone as simple as possible.

The v50 allows you to enter ringtones of up to 35 notes in length.  When adding ringtones to this phone, ignore what is appearing on the screen and what you can hear.  As you type the key sequence as the cursor will move all over the screen and sometimes the phone will beep,  other times it wont.  None of this is important when you use the Ringtone Converter - as long as you press the keys in the order given to you by the software the ringtone should work perfectly!

1.  Locate your ringtone composer

To enter this code into your V50 phone, press the menu button and scroll down and select 'Phone Setup'.

A new menu will appear, scroll down and select 'Edit Music Tone'. The ring tone editor will now be displayed by your phone.

2.  Enter the key press sequence

Once you have located the composer,  you need to enter the key press sequence given to you by the ringtone converter software.  Look for the text similar to that in the image below, highlighted in yellow.

Now, type in the key sequence above to program the new tone into your phone.

Press the keys in the order shown and ignore what is appearing on your phones display.

Where you see ^ and v press the up or down 'volume' keys on the side of the phone as appropriate. Where you see * press the * key on your phone.

3. Save the tone

When you have finished entering the key sequence, press 'OK' to enter the options menu, and select 'Play Music' to listen to the new ringtone. If you like what you hear select 'Save Music' to save the new ringtone on your phone.

If you find the tone plays too fast, or slow, use the tempo option in the 'options' menu to adjust the playback speed (0 being the slowest and 4 the highest).

If the tone doesn't sound right,  you have probably missed a key so you may wish to try entering the key sequence again,  press the 'options' menu and select 'erase' to clear the current tone and start again.

That's it - it could not be simpler,  or cheaper to add a new ring tone to your Motorola v50 phone (as often as you like!)
