How to enter a Ringtone into your Nokia Mobile Phone...

We have tried to make entry of the ringtones into your Nokia phone as simple as possible.  Most Nokia phones have a composer built in allowing you to add your own ringtones quickly and easily,  and avoiding having to pay for the 'pay per ringtone' services.

If your handset does not have a composer click here,  otherwise read on...

1.  Locate your ringtone composer

To enter this code into your Nokia phone first locate the ringtone composer (on some models you press the 'Menu' button, then 5, then 4, then 1, on others press 'Menu', then 9, then 3). The current composition will be shown (if any).

To clear this tone,  press and hold the 'c' key on your mobile.

2.  Enter the key press sequence

Once you have located the composer,  you need to enter the key press sequence given to you by the ringtone converter software,  try the sample in the image below.

Now (in the phones composer),  simply type these numbers into your keypad,  the display will show something quite different but don't worry,  as long as you press the keys in the sequence shown by the software (in this example press 3 and hold it for a second, then 8, then * twice,  then 2,  then 8 etc.)  the tone should go into your phone and play for you.

3. Enter the tempo

Once you have finished typing the numbers you need to set the tempo for the tone.

Use the 'Options' menu button (top right) to set the tempo for the tone,  if the exact tempo is not shown pick the nearest match,  you can adjust this if you prefer the tone to play faster or slower - have a play!

4. Save the tone

Finally,  if you like it what you hear, use the save option to store the tone for use.

If the tone doesn't sound right,  you have probably missed a key so you may wish to try entering the key sequence again.

That's it - it could not be simpler,  or cheaper to add a new ring tone to your Nokia phone (as often as you like!)
