Samsung A300 ringtonesHow to enter a Ringtone into your Samsung A300 Cell Phone...

We have tried to make entry of the ring tones into your Samsung A300  mobile phone as simple as possible.

The Samsung A300 has a particularly good melody composer,  so most ringtones available on the net in RTTTL or Nokia keypress format will convert very well.  Some other Samsung handsets are also compatible with the A300's codes,  so if you have a similar handset,  and its not listed,  try the codes anyway (the trial version costs nothing!)

To enter the tones into your A300 handset.

1.  First,  locate your ring tone composer

To add this ringtone to your A300 phone, press the 'Menu' button, then '3', then '2' to access the melody composer. Choose a position for your new ringtone and press select, you will then be shown a musical score.

Use the top left button to select 'Edit', and if you have any musical notes showing on the display, press and hold 'c' to clear them to make way for your new ring tone.

2.  Enter the key press sequence

Once you have located the composer on your phone,  you need to enter the key press sequence given to you by the ring tone converter software.  Look for the text similar to that in the image below, highlighted in yellow.

Now (in the phones melody composer),  simply type these numbers into your keypad,  the display will show musical notes appearing while you press the keys -  as long as you press the keys in the sequence shown by the software the ring tone will sound correct!

*** IMPORTANT***

Where you see <, >, ^, and v, these represent the arrow buttons on your handset.

3. Save the tone

When you have finished use the top left menu button again to listen to your new ringtone, and save it to your handset if you like what you hear.

If the tone doesn't sound right,  you have probably missed a key so you may wish to try entering the key sequence again.

That's it - it could not be simpler,  or cheaper to add a new ring tone to your Samsung A300 or A308  phone (as often as you like!)
